Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge is conveniently located near the Heart of Alaska’s interior. With 15 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds and a large outdoor deck extending to the water’s edge, this Lodge takes every advantage of its exclusive setting on the Chena River. Guests have easy access to the airport, downtown shopping and attractions, the rail depot and the University of Alaska.

Activities

The Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge offers guests a variety of optional excursions.The second largest city in Alaska, Fairbanks is named the “Golden Heart City” for its historic and modern gold industries and for its central location. The city serves as the hub of the region known as Alaska’s Interior. In the summer, visitors and residents alike enjoy nearly 24 hours of light daily. On property activities include walking paths on the extensive grounds which feature a river walk through the amazing gardens and continues to the lodge trail and through some woods highlighting fun facts about Alaska. The lodge is excited to introduce Geocaching; there will be 5 caches that guests can locate through their geocaching app. Bocce Ball, Horseshoes, Cornhole and Croquet are also available.

Kid-Friendly Activities

Many of the Optional Land Excursions are appropriate for children. The lodge also offers free activities that are great for children.

Building History

Construction began April 1991. The property opened for year-round business in May 1993. Approximate cost $21 million. Extensive renovations were completed in 2001, which added 125 new guest rooms, new dining and meeting facilities, and an expanded bar area. In 2013, we completed a large guest room and lodge renovation. Currently the property is open seasonally, May through September.
