Upgrade your rail experience from Fairbanks to Denali for $100 per person. The standard tour features Alaska Railroad’s Adventure Class for this rail component of the tour. When you choose the upgrade, you will travel aboard Alaska Railroad's Goldstar service instead. Adventure Class railcars do not feature a dome and meals are available for purchase. Goldstar service is aboard Alaska Railroad’s domed railcars and breakfast aboard the train is included.
With the standard option, rail travel from Denali to Talkeetna and Talkeetna to Anchorage is aboard our own luxury, glass-domed rail service (meals not included, but available for purchase) and the upgrade applies only to the portion of the trip from Fairbanks to Denali.

Day 1: Fairbanks
Transfer from the airport to your hotel. Early arrival? Enjoy a day at leisure or choose an optional tour to the Alaska Salmon Bake and Golden Palace Theatre or Chena Hot Springs. Overnight Fairbanks.
Day 2: Fairbanks - Denali
Departs From:Fairbanks, 8:15 AM (Train Departs Fairbanks Depot)
Arrives At:Denali, 12:15 PM (Train Arrives Denali Depot)
Begin your rail adventure aboard the historic Alaska Railroad as the train departs the Fairbanks rail depot south towards Denali National Park, enjoying interior Alaska's breathtaking scenery as you go. Upon arrival to Denali, transfer to your Denali-area hotel, located just minutes from the Park entrance. This evening, enjoy an unforgettable dinner experience at Music of Denali Dinner Theater at McKinley Chalet Resort. Overnight Denali-area hotel.
Day 3: Denali
Venture into Denali National Park on the popular Tundra Wilderness Tour, your best chance to view wildlife in Alaska. If the skies are clear, you’ll enjoy awesome views of Denali, North America’s tallest peak. Later, choose from optional activities and end your day on a high note with a visit to a sled dog kennel, flightseeing adventure or ATV ride. Overnight Denali-area hotel.
Day 4: Denali - Anchorage
Departs From:Denali, 9:15 AM (Train Departs Denali Depot)
Enjoy a morning at leisure, or see another side of Denali on an optional flightseeing tour including a glacier landing. Later, re-board the train and sightsee to Anchorage crossing Hurricane Gulch and passing small towns, flag stops, farmlands, and homesteads. Overnight Anchorage.
Day 5: Anchorage

Arrives At:Anchorage, 5:00pm
Sightsee by motorcoach to Portage Lake where you’ll board themv Ptarmiganfor a memorable cruise that takes you within 300 yards of the actively calving Portage Glacier. Then, stop by the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center on your return to Anchorage. The AWCC takes in injured and orphaned animals year-round, providing spacious enclosures and quality animal care. Here you can see many of Alaska's natural inhabitants that are unable to be re-released into the wild. Relive the day’s highlights back at your Anchorage hotel. Overnight Anchorage.
Day 6: Anchorage
Your tour ends with a transfer to the airport.
