Day 1: Anchorage

From the airport, we'll transfer you to your hotel. The day is yours to explore. Tonight, meet your Tour Director and fellow travel companions at a casual get together. Overnight Anchorage hotel. (S)

Day 2: Anchorage - Seward

    Seward

This morning, travel to the seaside town of Seward via deluxe motor coach. You will have the opportunity to view marine mammals onboard a narrated wildlife and glacier cruise through the mountains and glaciers of Kenai Fjords National Park. The crew will point out whales, seals, sea otters, porpoises and other colorful species of seabirds along the way. Overnight Seward hotel. (B, L)

Day 3: Seward - Cooper Landing

Your motor coach will take you to Cooper Landing on the banks of the Kenai River, famous for its turquoise blue waters and salmon. Check into the Kenai Princess Wilderness Lodge for your 2-night stay.  Make sure to stop in at the Tour Desk to make plans for optional excursions over the next few days.  Relax on the outdoor deck and take in the wilderness and river views. Day 4: Cooper Landing

After breakfast, spend the day exploring the Kenai Peninsula, known as "Alaska's Playground." Opt for one of the many activities and wilderness pursuits that the area has to offer. Overnight Kenai Princess Wilderness Lodge. (B, D)

Day 5: Cooper Landing - Denali

Take a scenic motor coach ride to the Denali National Park area, home to six million acres of wilderness. Enjoy the ride through the heart of Alaska with a stop for lunch enroute.  Get settled for the night then head out to explore what the area has to offer including a variety of optional excursions such as rafting or an ATV adventure. Day 6: Denali

Grab breakfast at your hotel, then set out with your group to explore Denali National Park on a guided tour. Keep an eye out for "the Big 5" - moose, bears, caribou, wolves and Dall sheep. Bring along binoculars to spot distant animals and have your camera ready. This evening is yours to relax or perhaps choose the Music of Denali dinner theater for a fun, interactive experience. Overnight at a Denali-area hotel. (B, S)

Day 7: Denali - Fairbanks

    Denali, 4:00 PM (Train Departs Denali Depot)

    Fairbanks, 8:00 PM (Train Arrives Fairbanks Depot)

Enjoy a relaxing morning before boarding the train to travel north through Alaska’s Interior to the city of Fairbanks. You'll travel onboard Alaska Railroad's GoldStar service with dinner included on the train. With a rich gold rush past, a thriving arts and culture scene and natural beauty that includes rivers, tundra and midnight sun, Fairbanks is the perfect place to cap off an amazing Alaska vacation. Day 8: Fairbanks

Learn about the rich gold rush history of Fairbanks on a visit to Gold Dredge 8, where you will pan for gold and learn about modern-day gold mining. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to view the Trans-Alaska Pipeline up close and attend a presentation about its construction and operation. Your adventure continues at Steamboat Landing, where you will enjoy a hearty lunch on the banks of the beautiful Chena River. Spend the afternoon aboard the Riverboat Discovery, an authentic sternwheeler, exploring the Chena and Tanana Rivers.  A group farewell dinner this evening celebrates your memorable trip. (B, L, S, D)

Day 9: Fairbanks

    Venture into the Golden Heart City and explore more of what Fairbanks has to offer before transferring to the airport and waving farewell to the Last Frontier.
