Visit an authentic log cabin, meet champion racing dogs and see a demonstration of sled dog harnessing and mushing preparation. Before arriving, enjoy a short narrated drive, describing the history of Talkeetna and sled dog racing. At the rustic log home of World Champion sprint musher, Kathleen Holden and Top 20 Iditarod musher Gerald Sousa, you will be introduced to one of their racing teams. Learn about the winter training program to get these dogs ready for the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog race held annually in March. You may also get a chance to hold and play with one of our future champions.
