WILDERNESS JET BOAT ADVENTURE / TKA-U

The glass-domed, 55-passenger Talkeetna Queen, whisks you into the Alaskan wilderness in comfort, all while looking for nesting bald eagles and any other wildlife that nature might share. Travel 20 miles on the river and then disembark for a quarter-mile nature walk. At our adventure site you will observe an authentic trapper’s cabin and learn how early Alaskans lived in the “bush.” Naturalists describe Alaskan wildflowers and plants, and identify those used by native Alaskans for food and medicine as well as how rustically they lived just over 100 years ago.
