KENAI UPPER RIVER SPORTFISHING - TOUR L
Famed for its trophy-sized fish, the beautiful upper Kenai River is one of the finest recreational areas in Alaska. Experience world-class fishing amidst dazzling mountain scenery onboard a non-motorized drift boat or raft. The upper Kenai River generally opens to fishing around the 12th of June. Most fishing in the early part of the season is for Dolly Varden ( a type of Char), and rainbow trout. This is a catch-and-release fishing experience.
Once the Sockeye Salmon start entering the river in mid July, the trip changes to fishing for Salmon, trout, and Dolly Varden. Spinning gear is typically used. There is a high demand for fishing excursions with a somewhat limited, highly regulated supply.
KENAI LOWER RIVER SPORTFISHING - TOUR M
Fish for either the mighty king salmon (May 21 to July 31) or the fighting silver salmon (August 1 to September 13) on the lower stretches of the Kanai or Kasilof Rivers. Expert guides will take you to their favorite hot spots for hours of unforgettable fishing. Anything you catch can be processed and shipped home at an additional charge. Fishing restrictions and periodic river closures are possible due to regulatory action.
