After a short drive to Alaska Nature Guides River House, you’ll embark on a scenic tour of the park while learning how Alaskans survive in this wild and beautiful land. You’ll hear astonishing tales of peril, valor, rescue, and the Civil War’s last shot (in Alaska!) at the Alaska Veterans Memorial. You’ll marvel at the challenges Mt. McKinley climbers face, and stop at scenic viewpoints. You’ll challenge yourself to make fire from scratch, try a woodland shelter, and enjoy some wild Alaskan delicacies. You’ll make your way to the Alaska Nature Guides River House, where you’ll have hands-on, interactive experience with survival tricks that can save your life if you ever find yourself in a survival situation.

A credit card number is required in order to reserve an Alaska land excursion. Guests may cancel a land excursion reservation up to 48 hours prior to their first land excursion's departure date. At that time the credit card provided will be charged and no modifications may be made. Any excursion purchased while traveling through Alaska is final at time of sale.
