Iditarod Sled Dog Kennel Tour

The Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race is famously known throughout the world as ''the last great race on earth.'' If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to care for a champion sled dog, now’s your chance. Upon arriving at the dog kennel, you’ll meet an Iditarod musher who’s competed in the 1150-mile race. He’ll not only share the amazing history of this challenging event but how to train, race and breed these gentle dogs. During the tour, you’ll also meet a sled dog team and learn feeding routines that are used along the race trail. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to harness and hitch up a dog to an authentic sled. At the end of the tour, be sure to take out your camera - the sled dogs enjoy having their picture taken.
