Cooper Landing Trail Ride

Cooper Landing Trail Ride

Cooper Landing Trail Ride

Hey, pardners, see how the west was fun on a horseback trail ride through the breathtaking landscape of Cooper Landing, named for Joseph Cooper, a miner who discovered gold in the area in the 1890's. After you saddle up on a well-trained Alaskan mountain horse, you'll discover remote mountain valleys that were once used by trappers, hunters and gold miners. The trail ride meanders through Kenai Peninsula's forests, meadows, river shores and rock ridges and then along the base of Mt. Langille in the Chugach National Forest. The cowboy guides are backcountry professionals and skilled at spotting wildlife. A hearty lunch will be provided at one of the many scenic lookout points.
