Wilderness Living & Dog Cart Ride
Embark on a fun-filled adventure at a riverside camp in Denali National Park. Learn about the remote "Far North" wilderness from the people that call this beautiful wilderness home, winter and summer. Your hosts are Alaskans that make their living and raise their families off this land of extremes. Woodsmen, trappers and hunters will share stories, tales and a few tricks on mining, prospecting, trapping and hunting. Also on the agenda is presentation of what winters are like in Denali, a snack at the camp and an opportunity to photograph caribou up close. Next, you’ll head down the road to meet a Yukon Quest Race winner before embarking on a dogcart ride. Hold on tight for an exhilarating dogcart ride driven by a Quest runner in full view of Mt. McKinley, North America's highest mountain, towering over 20,300 feet tall, (weather permitting).
