As you come to understand these remarkable natural zones and the powerful forces that shape them, learn about hundreds of species of wildflowers, migratory birds and animals that inhabit the region. Delight in the area's clean air, panoramic views and rich tableaux, which make excellent photos. Depending on the group's pace, reach alpine terrain, which sits above the tree line.
