Hear the call of the wild on this engaging excursion to a top-notch husky homestead run by Jeff King, four-time champion of the Iditarod, the world’s foremost sled dog race. Upon reaching the gorgeous rural area of Goose Lake, where Jeff, ''the winningest musher in the world,'' lives and works with about 40 huskies. Enjoy a warm welcome from a cuddly pup and interact with champion huskies. Witness their excitement in action as they explode from the kennel during a training run and observe them pulling a dog-powered carousel. Learn about the special bond a musher develops with his team and see the arctic survival gear they depend on. Hear 35 years’ worth of captivating stories from Jeff about racing, survival in the wild and the thrill of winning the Iditarod, which covers over 1,150 miles of breathtaking terrain.

Reservation Policy

A credit card number is required in order to reserve an Alaska land excursion. Guests may cancel a land excursion reservation up to 48 hours prior to their first land excursion's departure date. At that time the credit card provided will be charged and no modifications may be made. Any excursion purchased while traveling through Alaska is final at time of sale.
