COPPER RIVER COUNTY NATURAL HISTORY TOUR

Immerse yourself in a 4-hour tour through the natural wonders and history of the Copper River County. During a 25-mile van ride, enjoy stops at strategic viewpoints, including the Alaska oil pipeline, the mighty Copper River and views of Mt. Wrangell, a massive volcano in the Wrangell Mountains (weather permitting). Come along for a casual walk with a trained naturalist guide to a beautiful Tonsina River overlook. Experience the boreal forest that has remained pristine since the retreat of the great glaciers 10,000 years ago. Your guide will help you explore the remarkable geologic history and the intriguing adaptations of the plants, animals and people that call this spectacular place home.
