KLUTINA RIVER HISTORY WALK

Take a walk back in time as you depart from the front of the lodge on this scenic nature walk. Follow the Trail of 1899 used by the early prospectors. Explore the rich resources that sustained life, first for the prospectors and then the Athabascan Native people. Photo opportunities abound as you walk along the mighty Klutina River to a traditional Athabascan Native summer camp. Your local Alaskan guide will explain lifestyle and survival techniques passed from generation to generation, ensuring they would survive another Alaskan winter. After your walk, enjoy the luxury tourvan transfer back to the lodge.
