FLY / DRIVE TO KENNICOTT & MCCARTHY / CPP-B
Start your adventure with a 3-hour drive to the McCarthy footbridge with stops at the Kuskalana Bridge and the Gilahina Trestle. A van will transport you into the town of McCarthy to explore the town and enjoy a box lunch. Re-board your van for a 30-minute drive to the historic Kennicott Copper Mine where you will participate in a guided tour of the 14- story mill building and town. Return to the lodge via Alaskan bush plane. Your experienced pilot will provide a narrated flightseeing excursion including views of the mountain peaks, glaciers, waterfalls and wildlife all located within the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park.
